Anxiety therapy in New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island

You already have the strength within you to live fully. Anxiety therapy is here to help you tap into it

You catch yourself worrying about everything- Did I set my alarm? Did I say the right thing? What if this happens? What if it doesn’t? The constant “what ifs” leave you feeling drained and overwhelmed, making it hard to focus on work, relationships, or even just getting through the day. You’re exhausted from trying to make sense of it all, and your mind feels stuck on the things you can’t control.

You just want to be able to enjoy where you are, without overthinking the past or worrying about what’s next

Maybe you notice that big life moments- like planning a wedding or making a big move- bring up a lot of stress and anxiety. You end up trying to control what you can’t actually control, like predicting the future, just to feel a little safer. But instead of helping, it leaves you feeling overwhelmed and takes away from the joy of the moment.

You might notice yourself feeling extra anxious in social situations- whether it’s a birthday party, a family dinner, or even just casual conversations. The worry about saying the wrong thing can make you want to cancel plans altogether. When you do show up, the anxiety doesn’t just go away- you find yourself panicked, convinced that everyone’s watching you and judging you.

Even when you’re with someone you’re really excited to see, your mind can feel full of worries and doubts. What if I said the wrong thing? What if that conversation felt awkward? You know you don’t have the coping tools you need yet, and deep down you realize the worry is stealing your chance to actually enjoy yourself and feel connected.

You might benefit from anxiety therapy if:

  • You catch yourself running through every “what if” and possible outcome of a situation

  • You worry about saying the “wrong” thing when you’re around other people

  • You feel stuck in constant worry about situations, even ones that haven’t happened yet

  • At night, your mind races and makes it hard to fall asleep

  • You tend to jump to the worst-case scenario

  • You feel overwhelmed, like everything is out of your control

  • Your thoughts spiral and it feels almost impossible to quiet them down

  • Your body reacts too- shakiness, a racing heart, and muscle tension

What are the signs and symptoms of anxiety?

The signs and symptoms of anxiety can look different for everyone. What matters is noticing the ways it’s showing up in your life. You’re still the one in charge of your own life, even if it doesn’t always feel that way. With the right support, you can quiet the worry, feel more in control, and start enjoying your life again.

COMMON SIGNS AND SYMPTOMS OF ANXIETY INCLUDE:

  • Feeling overwhelmed, like things are out of your control

  • Constantly worrying or feeling extra anxious in certain situations

  • Avoiding social plans, public places, or events because of the anxiety that comes up

  • Racing thoughts that are hard to slow down

  • Struggling to sleep at night- or sleeping way more than usual

  • Noticing it in your body too: headaches, racing heart, shaky hands or legs, and overall tension

These are just some of the common signs of anxiety- your experience may look different and that’s okay. Anxiety shows up in it’s own way for everyone, and your experience is valid. As an anxiety therapist, I can help you understand how it’s impacting you and give you the tools to manage it. You deserve to feel present, grounded, and able to enjoy your life again.

HOW CAN ANXIETY THERAPY IN NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, AND RHODE ISLAND HELP?

I want you to feel confident, grounded, and empowered in your own life

I know anxiety can make it feel like everything is outside of your comfort zone and out of your control. My goal is to help you feel grounded, empowered, and more in charge of your own life- no matter what worries or fears come up. I have worked with many people who struggled with both eating disorders and anxiety. Before therapy, they were stuck in constant “what ifs,” always bracing for what could go wrong. Through our work together, they began to feel more confident, more present, and able to enjoy their lives without being held back by anxious thoughts.

You can live the life you’ve always dreamed of

You may have felt like your best life was out of reach…but it’s not. With the right support, we’ll work together to gently challenge anxious thoughts and bring in mindful practices that help you feel more grounded. I’ll help you focus on what’s actually in your control, instead of getting stuck in the “what ifs.” Step by step, you’ll be able to move outside of your comfort zone, shift the way you see things, and grow into the version of yourself you’ve always wanted to be.

ONE WHERE YOU FEEL PRESENT, CONFIDENT, AND IN CONTROL

My approach to anxiety therapy in New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island

My approach to anxiety therapy is collaborative- we’ll work together to gently challenge the anxious thoughts that keep you stuck. Instead of only seeing the worst-case scenario, I’ll help you explore other possibilities. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which gives you practical tools to notice and reframe negative thought patterns. Many of my clients come in with automatic “worst-case” thinking, and through CBT for anxiety, we work on breaking that cycle so you can feel calmer, more balanced, and more in control.

I’LL HELP YOU FOCUS ON WHAT YOU CAN CONTROL & BRING MORE MINDFULNESS INTO YOUR LIFE

I know anxiety can take a toll on so many areas of your life- your relationships, your work, even your day-to-day routines. That’s why I offer flexible options for support: in person therapy in Warren, New Jersey and online therapy across New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island. My goal is to make sure you have the care and guidance you need to reach the goals that matter to you. I also specialize in eating disorder therapy, body image therapy, OCD therapy, ADHD therapy, and couples therapy. If you’re ready to make changes and start feeling more like yourself again, let’s connect.
