You have the strength to heal from what you’ve been through and begin caring for yourself in ways that feel safe and right for you

Your relationship with your past can feel heavy- leaving you anxious, guarded, and overwhelmed. You might find yourself replaying painful memories, reacting strongly to certain situations without knowing why, or feeling on edge as if you can’t fully relax. It can start to take over- influencing the way you think, feel, and move through your day. You can see how these experiences have held you back, and you’re ready to heal and create a life that feels like yours again.

You deserve to feel grounded, safe, and fully yourself again

You may have gone through trauma in the past, or you’re already on your healing journey, but still find yourself struggling with lingering triggers and patterns it left behind. You know logically you’re safe now, but your body and mind sometimes tell a different story. Change can feel scary, especially when old wounds resurface. But deep down, you know you don’t want to feel controlled by it anymore.

Feeling anxious, unsafe, or overwhelmed can make it seem like shutting down, avoiding, or numbing out are the only ways to cope. In the moment, those responses may bring a sense of short-term relief, but afterward you’re often left feeling stuck, disconnected, or even ashamed. Deep down, you know you want to move forward and heal, but not knowing where to start- or feeling uncertain about what’s ahead- can make it hard to take that first step.

When stress feels overwhelming, it’s easy to slip back into old patterns- like shutting down, avoiding people, or becoming hyper-alert to your surroundings. You’ve already worked hard to get to where you are in your healing, and you want to hold onto that progress. Together, we’ll look beneath the surface at what’s fueling the trauma responses, so you can feel supported in staying grounded and moving forward in your recovery.

Think of me as an ally as you rebuild safety and trust within yourself

I know it can sometimes feel like you’re fighting a battle with the weight of your past. I’m not here to judge you- I’m here to be your ally. My role is to meet you with compassion, validation, and steady support, walking alongside you in the hardest moments. Over the years, I’ve worked with many people carrying the effects of eating disorders and trauma, and I’ve seen just how much healing and change are possible.

Before starting therapy with me, many people feel like the weight of their trauma has taken over their life. Their sense of safety, self-esteem, and overall well-being often suffers as a result. In therapy, they finally have the space to explore where these patterns and responses come from- and begin to process them in a way that feels healing. With support, they start to find hope, rebuild trust in themselves, and create a life that feels safer, more grounded, and more their own.

I’ll support you in finding strategies that help up feel grounded and in control of your life again. Together, we’ll work on challenging the negative beliefs trauma has left behind and replacing them with ones that reflect your resilience and strength. I’ll also help you recognize the patterns and relationships that may no longer serve you, so you can create space for healing and growth. You deserve the tools, support, and compassion to reclaim your sense of self- no filter needed.

My approach to trauma therapy

I approach trauma therapy with the understanding that it can feel like you’re stuck in a cycle of painful memories and negative beliefs about yourself. My focus is to help you gently challenge those beliefs and replace them with ones that reflect compassion, resilience, and strength. Through Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), we’ll work together to uncover the underlying thoughts and patterns affected by trauma, so you can begin to feel more grounded, supported, and in control of your life.

MY GOAL IS TO HELP YOU RECLAIM YOUR SENSE OF SELF, SO YOUR EMOTIONS AND CHOICES REFLECT WHO YOU ARE- NOT WHAT TRAUMA HAS LEFT BEHIND

I do this by helping you build coping skills that can take the place of trauma responses that no longer serve you. Along the way, I’ll bring in psychoeducation to help you better understand how your past experiences have influenced you and how they may still be impacting your present. I also incorporate grounding techniques to support both your mind and body in feeling safe, steady, and connected as you heal.

I understand that trauma can show up in many different ways. That’s why I also offer therapy for eating disorders, body image therapy, anxiety therapy, and more- so you get the care that truly meets your needs. You don’t have to go through this alone. Healing is possible, and I’m here to walk alongside you as you reclaim your sense of safety, strength, and self.
