Depression doesn’t define you- you deserve tools and support to feel joy and balance again

You may feel weighed down, like depression is calling the shots- affecting your mood, your energy, and even your outlook on life. When you’re low, it can feel impossible to get out of bed or find motivation for the things you once enjoyed. When guilt shows up, you might replay mistakes in your head, feeling like you’ll never measure up. Stress makes even the smallest tasks feel exhausting. Or maybe, when the heaviness sets in, you find yourself pulling away from the people you care about the most. Can you relate?

You want to feel like yourself again, rather than feeling consumed by your emotions

Maybe you notice yourself losing motivation- like putting off tasks until they pile up, canceling plans because you don’t have the energy, or staying in bed longer than you’d like just to escape the day. In the moment it feels easier, but afterward you’re left feeling guilty, disconnected, and even more stuck.

Maybe your friends have noticed you seem more withdrawn or low on energy- but to you, it just feels like you’re moving through life in survival mode. Getting out of bed, finishing tasks, or even answering a text can feel overwhelming. When you can’t keep up, you blame yourself, telling yourself you’re lazy or not good enough. You push to keep going, trying to look like you have it all together- but inside, it feels like everything is falling apart.

You’re tired of feeling weighed down by low energy, guilt, or the constant pull of negative thoughts. Deep down, you just want to feel like yourself again- steady, present, and in control of your life- but you’re not sure how to get there. You know there’s more to life than just getting through the day, but finding the motivation to break free from old patterns isn’t easy. This is where therapy can help.

You might benefit from depression therapy if:

  • You feel weighed down by a heaviness that makes even simple tasks feel overwhelming

  • Your motivation comes and goes, leaving projects unfinished or routines hard to keep

  • Coping with day-to-day life feels exhausting, and you're often running on empty

  • You find yourself withdrawing from friends or loved ones, even though you crave connection

  • Guilt and self-criticism feel constant, no matter how much you try to push through

  • Your energy is low, making it hard to enjoy the things you once cared about

  • Negative thoughts loop in your mind, leaving you feeling stuck or hopeless

  • Thoughts of not wanting to be here or wishing you could escspe creep in when life feels unbearable

HOW CAN DEPRESSION THERAPY IN NEW JERSEY, NEW YORK, AND RHODE ISLAND HELP?

I want you to feel empowered to move through each day with more ease and hope

I know depression can make it feel like everything is out of reach and out of your control. My goal is to help you feel grounded, empowered, and more in charge of your own life- even when the heaviness sets in. I’ve worked with many people who struggled with depression and eating disorders, and before therapy, they felt stuck in cycles of guilt, low energy, and hopelessness. Through our work together, they began to feel more confident, more present, and able to enjoy life again without being held back by the weight of depression.

ONE WHERE YOU FEEL CONNECTED, EMPOWERED, AND AT PEACE WITH YOURSELF

You may have felt like the life you want it out of reach…but it’s not. With the right support, we’ll work together to challenge the negative thoughts depression brings and introduce practices that help you feel more grounded and steady. I’ll help you focus on small, doable steps- so instead of feeling stuck in the heaviness, you can start to notice progress, regain energy, and grow into the version of yourself you’ve always wanted to be.

My approach to depression therapy in New Jersey, New York, and Rhode Island

My approach to depression therapy is collaborative- you don’t have to do this alone. We’ll work together to gently challenge the heavy, negative thoughts that keep you feeling stuck. Instead of only seeing the bleakest outcome, I’ll help you consider other perspectives and possibilities. I draw from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), which offer practical skills for shifting unhelpful thought patterns and regulating difficult emotions. Many of my clients come in feeling weighed down by hopelessness or automatic negative thinking, but through CBT for depression, we focus on breaking that cycle so you can feel lighter, more balanced, and more in control of your life.

I’LL HELP YOU SHIFT YOUR ENERGY TO THE THINGS YOU CAN CONTROL
